You can swim everywhere on Koh Mak. There is no off shore current and average water temperature stay between 28 – 30C . Good spots for snorkeling to watch some corals and underwater life around Koh Mak are: Koh Pi (can be reached easily by kayak), Coco Cape pier and AoPong beach. To reach the best snorkeling spots located at nearby National Marine Park you would have to contact one of two dive companies on Koh Mak. Typically, you will visit 3 or 4 of the tiny islands and one of the beaches, with transfer to and from your resort, as well as equipment and lunch all included.
